The StroboStomp Mini™ delivers the unmatched 0.1 cent tuning accuracy of all authentic Peterson Strobe Tuners in a mini pedal tuner format. We designed StroboStomp Mini around the most requested features from our customers: a mini form factor, and top mounted jacks. We felt there could be no concessions in StroboStomp Mini. Users will find everything they love about StroboStomp HD in StroboStomp Mini, pop-less true bypass, pure buffer, always-on Monitor Mode, transposition, adjustable concert A reference, as well as a few new features like Power Up Mute State not yet available on StroboStomp HD. As with all our tuners, StroboStomp Mini adheres to our 0.1 cents standard of tuning accuracy. StroboStomp Mini is everything you need in a pedal tuner; shrunk down to less than half the size of StroboStomp HD.

With its HD display, StroboStomp Mini is accurate to 1/10th of 1 cent, includes over 80 Sweetened and Guided Tunings, has adjustable Concert A Reference from 390Hz - 490Hz, and includes Transposition settings from -5 - +6 half steps.

The StroboStomp Mini features a PURE buffer mode to preserve the sonic clarity of your axe while enabling you to run a collection of pedals and long cable lengths without compromise.

100% Pop-less True Bypass

We've redesigned and greatly improved the way incoming signal was handled in true-bypass mode to deliver a perfectly silent experience when muting your signal.

A dual relay circuit effectively bleeds out any incoming signal before powering the tuner down resulting in a silent transition without affecting tone quality.

Always-on Monitor Mode

Want to see your tuning without having to mute? Need to check your intonation on the fly on fretless? With our Always-on Monitor Mode you can do just that.

Monitor Mode allows you to see the Tune Screen at all times, without needing to mute the signal. It also engages our buffer to combat tone-sucking of long cable runs. Of course, you can still mute your signal in Monitor Mode to tune silently.

Can We Go Outside and Play Now?

The multi-color display on the StroboStomp Mini is easy to see - even in direct sunlight!

The strobe image and note name appear monochromatic in direct sunlight making it very easy to view what is going on with your tuning when playing outdoors.

I purchased 1 of these pedals a few months ago for a board that needed a tuner. My other board had another brand that was decent, or so I thought, but comparison proved the mini stomp was more accurate so this mini purchase was to replace the other very popular brand. I like to see the tuning on the pedal without having to mute in some cases. The graphics are large and bright, the strobe just helps dial it in so much more accurately. The best test is tuning your cowboy chords on another tuner, then on the strobe. Most often, other tuners left open D and G sounding funky. I also have the upright Strobetuner (blue casing) on my bench for string changes, set ups etc...

I was immediately impressed with the quality build and basic operational ease of use. Beyond the basics, this tuner has more tricks in its memory banks than an assorted box of chocolates has flavors. I particularly enjoy the many tunings, especially the “sweetened” ones. I also like the ability to set the color for each setting, making it easy to identify which I’m using. Finally, the inclusion of a rubber grip and a velcro bottom for me to choose how I want to use it was a nice addition.

The mini Stobo tuner is a great addition to my HX Stomp pedal board. The HX Stomp comes with it's own tuner capabilities, but it is not as accurate as the Peterson Strobo tuners. I find the HX Stomp tuner to be flat after I have tuned with the Stobo tuner. I have compared the sound clarity between these and the Stobo tuner is definately more accurate providing a clearer pitch. The mini Stobo can be muted or tuned with sound on. Since I play in a band the mute option comes in handy. I have the Strobo tuner and HX powered from a custom A/B switch made by Preston Free (store can be found on Reverb) which provided 2 extra FS switches plus allows me to plug in 2 guitars should I need to make a switch.

Does my StroboStomp Mini require calibration?

Generally, your StroboStomp Mini will not require calibration and should remain perfectly accurate if it has not been damaged.

Unlike more modern Peterson strobes, legacy models such as the Peterson 400, 420, 450 and 700 do require occasional calibration.

If you require service, please open a support ticket and return the tuner for repair.

What power supplies can be used with my Peterson Pedal Tuner? ( StroboStomp 1 & 2, Stomp Classic & StroboStomp HD/LE/Mini )

9VDC - Regulated - Center negative - At least 85mA

DO NOT use the Boss ACA120 Unregulated power supply! Boss ACA, Danelectro DA1, RadioShack, etc., do not have a voltage regulator and are not suitable.

As always with any pedal, be careful - check voltage ( 9V regulated ) & polarity (positive barrel-negative inner sleeve) first and don't overload the power supply's ampere rating by daisy chaining too many pedals from a single supply.

How do I read a strobe display?

Basically, the strobe image appears to travel to the left if your instrument is flat of the desired pitch and to the right if it is sharp. On earlier models such as the StroboStomp 1, StroboStomp 2, VS-1, VS-II and V-SAM, the strobe image travels upward if your instrument is sharp and downward if your instrument is flat of the desired pitch.

Adjust your instrument until the pattern is as close to still as possible. Strobe displays are 'real-time' and extremely precise. They require very fine tuning adjustments to stop the display because the frequency/pitch of any instrument is never totally stable.

You'll quickly learn to read the display, make the most precise adjustments and appreciate the high resolution that only a Peterson provides.

Is the accuracy the same for all Peterson tuners?

Yes, the accuracy is within 0.1 cents (1/1000 of one semitone) as with all Peterson Strobe Tuners. An important thing to note is that Peterson Strobe Tuners have ultra high definition displays, so not only are they highly accurate in detecting a note but they have the ability to display that accuracy. Other products claim accuracy but do not have the high definition screen to display the level of accuracy in which they claim. If you cannot see the accuracy, it is of little value. Only Peterson provides High Definition Strobe Tuning.
